AN EXPLANATION
The addition of lace to your knitting adds a new dimension to your craft projects. It is very popular in Australia and when used to make coat hangers has the advantage of keeping your clothes in good condition, without the marks that are so common.
The lace in knitted in with the wool to make projects such as coat hangers, dolls, Tissue box covers, baby bootees etc., patterns for a few of these projects on our 'Free Pattern' page.
SMOCKING LACE
Smocking lace is an economical lace to use for knitting coat hangers. Using our No 1 pattern (Free with the lace ON REQUEST) takes just 1.7 metres to complete the knitted coat hanger.
The No 2 hanger pattern (pictured below) is also included on the instruction sheet
The lace is sold in 8 metre bundles
(enough for 4 coat hangers using no 1 pattern)
